RODE was tasked with conceiving a unique and compelling event that would draw top-level brokers to the highest glass-encased rooftop pavilion in the city–The Apex. To complement the theme “Set your sights on blue skies” RODE decided to partner with Ray-Ban to create a unique broker gift: a custom sunglass fitting with the choice of one of several Ray-Ban styles. This premium, theme-appropriate gift gave an enticing reason for busy Manhattan brokers to come and view the space. 1,100 boxed invitations containing a travel glasses case and an Apex branded cleaning cloth were hand-delivered to brokers in and around Manhattan. The result was the highest turn out of any Durst broker event in history, with over 500 brokers in attendance.
From the party invite to the event design, the message remained consistent throughout. Brokers also helped themselves to 20-year-old scotch while browsing office test fits and sample displays of dynamically changing glass panels.
